I have lived in Endicott, NY my whole life. Never met a single one of my neighbors; no one is very friendly and people come and go somewhat frequently. There is a pretty stark distribution of wealth; Northern Endicott/Endwell (eg. Park Manor) is a very nice place with people who ...Read More
, I assume, are good citizens. Crestview Heights is also a nice neighborhood that is pretty secluded. But most of Endicott is pretty ghetto. Run down houses, people shooting up heroin in public, high crime rate, etc. Not sure why anyone would want to live here, especially ever since IBM dumped chemicals all over the town and heavily polluted it. Jobs are hard to come by, even for those who have completed higher education. This is because we do not have anything to do here! Lockheed Martin and IBM were once the primary employers, but cut funding led to a ridiculous amount of lay-offs. If you want to do anything, you will have to go to nearby towns. Vestal has all the shopping and is realatively nice (when compared to the rest of the area). Binghamton is the true “city” and is absolutely horrible. Johnson City homes the area’s one and only mall, in which all of the major department stores have closed and left the mall within the past year. The schools are okay. Union-Endicott and Vestal school districts both have relatively strong “school pride.” Binghamton and Johnson City school districts are absolutely horrible. This is because those areas are overrun with crime. This really is not the place to be. Look at the reviews for Binghamton if you want more information, as this area is all one in the same.

ving in Endicott, New York has provided my children with a great education as they attend George F. Johnson Elementary School.
The best areas in Endicott, New York are the multiple parks for our children to play in. The local parks and recreation department does a great job on keeping the parks clean and also offering sports opportunities with multiple recreational leagues going on throughout the year. There is always something to keep your kids busy with.
Crime is relatively low here in Endicott. The local police department is wonderful and interacts with the community frequently. You will just enjoy this tiny village of Endicott that is full of friendly people.
