Elyria, Ohio Offers Everything You Need User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 30, 2012) I have lived in Elyria Ohio and the surrounding areas all of my life and have watched it grow and change over the years. Elyria is located off of inters ...Read More tate 90 and route 2, allowing quick access to Cleveland where you can enjoy many of their fine attractions such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the I-X Center.

In Elyria one will find all of their health care needs met with a variety of doctors, specialists, and their own hospital. Elyria is also one of the areas bigger shopping districts. Midway Mall contains the major retailers such as JCPenney, Sears, and Macy's along with many smaller shops scattered throughout. In the surrounding shopping centers they have Toys R Us, Target, and Lowes. Restaurants of all varieties and price ranges are located in and around the mall. While in Elyria you won't want to miss Pandy's Garden Center. During spring and summer they have everything you will need to decorate and care for your lawn and garden, then at the holidays they transform into a wonderful Christmas shop. They have one of Northern Ohio's biggest displays and selection of trees and decorations.

Elyria, OH also has some very nice parks where one can enjoy the outdoors. Cascade Park is wonderful. It is set in a ravine that was formed by glaciers. The Black River runs through it and has beautiful waterfalls along its path. The park's large hill is a big hit. People go sledding there in the winter and watch fireworks from it on the 4th of July.
