Elizabethton, TN: No Thank You 2 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Wow, what can I say about living in Elizabethton, Tennessee? Not very much on a good level, unfortunately. This is definitely not one of the best areas in the South to live in. I have been living here for about six and a half years now and honestly I feel like I'm trapped in a sm ...Read More all room. The weather here is unpredictable, mostly extreme, and just plain unpleasant. The people of this community do not care about their community or their surroundings. Everything looks shabby, weather worn, and just beat down. The schools are awful. The crime rate will make you pass out. There's no housing or jobs to be found that are worth having. This is not a place I can recommend for anyone to visit let alone live in.

As far as any sort of entertainment or anything fun to do, it's basically all about the greasy-spoon restaurants. We have Jiggy Rays Downtown Pizzeria, Big Dan's East Tennessee BBQ Company, Taco John's, Fatz Southern Kitchen, and so many more. You get the picture. Don't waste your time. Read Less
