3 years no problems 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 19, 2021) My family have lived inside the Westwood area of Edmonton for three years. Our neighbours are private but approachable. Most residents care for their properties and are cordial when passing with their dogs. My block is usually used for student housing. There are some young famili ...Read More es thriving in the area and the park is usually packed with children- but covid prevails! This area is between Kingsway garden mall/NAIT and Yellowhead Trail (YT). Another mall called Northgate is close by around 15 minutes in a car or transit. Groceries and other emenities are available but not directly in Westwood. Noise usually comes from the railway near YT, the odd helicopter flying over and transit bus. Crime happens on occasion but not as horrible as the "rating" given. Alberta Avenue is a close neighborhood where crime happens daily. If you use street smarts; walking on lighted sidewalk, aware of your surroundings, walking at nighttime is as safe as any other blue-collar neighborhood. Read Less
