ing lived in other parts of central Edmonton, I find Westmount feels a bit safer and more removed from the chaos you sometimes get in areas like Queen Mary Park, Oliver, or especially Downtown. That said, you still need to be cautious. If you park your car on the street, be aware that theft and break-ins do happen, just like in the rest of the city. Porch pirates are a thing too, even in apartment buildings. And definitely don’t leave your bike or other valuables lying around unlocked.
