You can tell that Eden was once a prosperous town but it is a little worn down at the heels now due to so many company closures. Still, is an affordable town with diverse surroundings. In one area of town there is plenty of shopping within minutes away and it is fairly walkable. ...Read More
In other parts of town there is a more rural feel. There are several lovely parks and a dog run located on the Purina company's property that is open to the public. You won't find much in the way of fine dining here or nightlife here but you can always drive up to Greensboro for that. It is also a dog friendly town although I do believe that a spay/neuter program should be implemented due to an excess of stray dogs and cats here. Eden is actually the result of three small towns being combined together to make one town so the history is quite interesting. There is also a drive-in move theatre, which is something you no longer see these days. Eden is definitely better than some of the overpriced NC towns that have been overdeveloped over the years. If you hate traffic congestion, overdevelopment, and high prices, Eden is a good place to live if you can find a job here because jobs aren't plentiful and a lot of folks have to drive to Greensboro or Reidsville for work.

I live in Eden and this place is bad, there is a lot of crime, unfriendly and rude neighbors and residents, there are not many jobs, there's a high residence of sex offenders, and the median age here is very old and their are more elder people than young people.

bout this town is there are a good number of stores, the drive in theater, and some really good restaurants.
Again the worst problem I have about this place is the rudeness and weirdness of most people that live here maybe once a month someone will wave at you when you ride down the road and if you've lived here for 25 or 30 years your neighbors might say a word to you.

I have lived here in Eden, North Carolina my entire life. Living in Eden, North Carolina has given me a good life, but unfortunately our city does not seem to be thriving anymore. The crime rate here is increasing and the local school system is struggling with its budget.

n say that there are a few great neighborhoods to live in here. While there are a few rough sections in this town, there are many neighborhoods where people still look out for people. The area also offers you the basics. There are stores here to buy what you need and quite a few restaurants.
The best areas in Eden, North Carolina to me are the local drive-in movie theatre and the towns park, Freedom Park. The movie theatre is just like it was when I was growing up. It is a great place to sit in your car and grab some popcorn and watch a movie or two. Freedom Park offers a picnicking area and a nice playground for children.
