Dyer, IN Living Is Pleasant and Fun 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Living in Dyer, so close to Chicago, has all the perks of a big city without the hassle of living right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Life here is good; it is definitely one of the best areas in Indiana. Life here is so enjoyable because we don't have much crime, ev ...Read More eryone is respectful to everyone else for the most part, people care about their homes and try to keep them nice, and work is easy to come by thanks to the close proximity to Chicago. The weather can get pretty gnarly sometimes, especially during storm/tornado season, but mostly it's pretty great.

As you can imagine, our nightlife and most entertainment is found in Chicago. There's the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago Prohibition Tours, the First Shot Gun and Rifle Range, and of course lots of clubs, bars, theaters, etc, along with some great restaurants. You can find anything you want in Chicago, have a blast, then come home to sleepy, calm little Dyer and relax...until next time! I love living here! Read Less
