Defeating The Cold In DeKalb 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 12, 2015) I moved to DeKalb, IL about a year ago. Housing in DeKalb isn't quite as bad as I had thought. It's less expensive than it is where I grew up, but there are several apartment complexes instead of houses. I live in an apartment, and while the rent is affordable, there really aren't a lot of amenities that you might find at other complexes. One of my favorite places to go Molly's Eatery and Drinkery. When there is a popular game on television, it can get crowded, but most of the time, it's a place to go for good company, especially after a long day at work. The beer is good, and the food served is made to order. Read Less
