Alright place for most User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 06, 2024) Some areas are a good place to live and some areas are safer than others. There are a lot of shopping places near by like Walmart and target and many others. It's also fairly close to Chicago takes about 25 min or longer depending on how bad the Stevenson or the Eisenhower is dur ...Read More ing traffic. The main high schools are Hinsdale South and Downers Grove South which are poorly rated and has become ghetto over the years according to some people. Crime isn't a big deal as of now for most areas it's only the eastern side that sees the most crime specifically the areas where the apartments are and where the shopping centers are. Read Less

Darien has a population of around 22,000 people. It is located just 25 miles west of downtown Chicago. The city is service by Chicago's public transportation system, the Chicago Transit Authority.

The city boasts itself as "A Nice Place To Live", and that town motto does not disappoint. It is just far enough away from Chicago for those who hate living in the city but close enough to still enjoy all the comforts and attractions that Chicago offers.

The city prides itself on its public education system, which is known as one of the best in the entire state of Illinois. Read Less
