Cranston, RI - Small Town Waterfront Charm 4 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 27, 2010) I spent four days in Cranston, RI when touring the state of Rhode Island. Cranston, RI may not be a big and bustling city however it is fun in its own aspect. Cranston, RI capitalizes on the small town feel and it is located right on the water which makes it perfect.

Cranston, R ...Read More I has several attractions although the most forth-coming is the beautiful natural landscape. The city of Cranston does a wonderful job at utilizing the natural environment to create lush parks and beautiful sprawling waterfront malls and restaurants. Visit the Providence Place Mall and take in the beautiful waterfront scenery from the third level. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many Crab Shacks and enjoy authentic seafood. Cranston is a waterfront community with a metropolitan feel.

Night's are quiet in Cranston and there is an overwhelming feeling of security and safety. There are many upper middle class homes and the schools are above average in Cranston. Cranston would be a great place to live for a family. Individuals and couples make find Cranston a little boring with a lack of nightlife. Make an effort to visit the Roger Williams Park Zoo before leaving Cranston, it's beautiful. Read Less
