Small town vibe next to the city. 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Clarksville, Indiana is an out-of-state suburb of Louisville, Kentucky. It's not a very big community and doesn't have too much going on. Despite that, Clarksville is a safe alternative to living in Louisville and is a peaceful community with a very small-town vibe. Employment prospects in Clarksville itself are not very high, but being that it is right across the bridge to Louisville, employment won't be much of a problem.

In it's current condition, Clarksville is a small economy. However in recent years, the economy has begun to grow with urban sprawl from Louisville creeping into the city. Even Amazon has set up a distribution center and is seemingly always hiring. The housing market in Clarksville is good, with low home prices and low property taxes.

Overall, Clarksville is a good place for someone to settle down and raise a family, especially if you're looking to maintain small-town charm while being close to a bigger city. If you're a young adult however, you may want to skip Clarksville and head to Louisville. Read Less
