Not Recommended.... User Rating 2 rating By mjc86 ( Mar 13, 2016) I was new to Cincinnati and looking for an area to live. My criteria included i)safe ii)convenient to where I needed to go. Researching online Clifton sounded like a good option and I stayed near McAlpin/Lafayette area. However, I did not find it to be a happy place...I didn't fe ...Read More el safe walking around after dark or going for a long jog, the 'gaslight area on ludlow' offered little, I didn't think it was convenient at all to grocery stores or other daily shopping. (also, the closest kroger constantly has a police officer outside of it...which made me wonder where I was). It's labeled a 'diverse' neighborhood and I would say that is very fair. Most people I came across were either in their 70s and had lived in huge mansions for 30+ years, in their 20s partying through college, or facing economic challenges. People did not say hello or smile to me on the streets. Also, to get anywhere you have to drive through other neighborhoods which are known to be 'bad' parts of town. I have since moved to Oakley and I'm much happier. Read Less
