Very Nice little community...and growing!! User Rating 5 rating By jamjrdc ( May 30, 2013) My wife and I love and enjoy the Cibolo and Schertz area. I know this is supposed to be a review for Cibolo but it's difficult to do one without the other. The two cities each extend into the other..kind of like interlaced fingers on folded hands. Our mailing address is Cibolo ...Read More but the next mail box is Schertz. We live in Cibolo, a little over a mile from my office in Schertz. Cibolo is the smaller of the two but has it's own police and fire department, as does Schertz.
It's a wonderful community with low crime and friendly people. There's a good school district. There's not much in the way of night life but it's close enough to San Antonio (20 minutes away) for that if you enjoy the night life. It's a slower pace here, with several good restaurants of Mexican Cuisine, Asian, American. Plenty of pizza places and banks, day care facilities, dry cleaners, salons, grocery stores, a SuperWalmart and more.
The area is undergoing continual growth and development. There are many, moving here each year and with the military bases nearby there's a considerable number of active duty and retired military. There's to be a new hospital built close by soon. There are already a number of dentists and growing number of doctors in the area.
Overall I would say this area is more of a family and retirement type community and granted it's not for everyone but we love it.
