Safe gated community is highly recommended User Rating 4 rating By Gadget ( Mar 16, 2013) We bought a home in Cheval in 1999 after moving here from out of state. After 5 years, we wanted a larger home and looked at almost 200 homes in the surrounding area before buying another home in Cheval. My only complaint is the country club has struggled with several owners. ...Read More Most of the homes were built by quality builders and the common grounds are beautifully maintained.

It is a family-oriented gated community with many public and private schools nearby. Some streets are more transient than others. My street has many of the original owners who built their houses in the mid 1990s. 95% of the homes are well maintained, and there is a community association that stays on top of homeowner maintenance issues. There is an architectural review committee that controls all changes to the exterior of the homes in an effort to keep the community at the highest standard.

We have 2 golf courses, an equestrian center, fitness center, and a restaurant within Cheval. We're about 30 minutes away from some of the finest beaches in the state. We have a strong Cheval Women's Club with over 150 members who have monthly events, luncheons, boutiques, business networking, wine tastings and more.

We highly recommend Cheval. Read Less
