We've lived here 65 years, raised our children here in schools rated for excellence. The crime rating stated must be incorrect, and I'm writing this because I'm insulted by it. The only problem with Canandaigua are the long, gloomy winters. But we have ski resorts. We drive only 20 minutes to Eastview Mall, one of the largest and best in the state. Our relatively small summer resort city becomes vibrantly alive during the summer. Our Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and many other all-age concerts (Yanni even came once) are held summer nights at our CMAC open-air shell, while we sit on picnic blankets on the graceful hill, sipping wine from hundreds of local vineyards, watching the sun set over our beautiful lake, musing how we are so fortunate to live and work in this truly "Chosen Spot".
