The city has a good public school system which is great for those looking to raise a family. However, crime has risen in recent years though the local police force is doing the best they can to remedy this situation by stayin ...Read More g on top of crime and informing the public of everything they need to know to stay safe. The housing market is fair, with reasonable house prices. The downside to this though is that the property taxes in Bridgeview are fairly high which deters many potential homebuyers.

The shopping, dining and nightlife scene in Bridgeview is on the lower end of average. Most of the restaurants you'll find in the city are franchises or somewhat run-down independently owned places. Nightlife is virtually nonexistent within the suburb, however Bridgeview is close to many other more vibrant suburbs that offer a wide variety of shopping, dining and nightlife options.

Overall, Bridgeview is a decent place to live and raise a family. It is especially good if you're a renter, since the rental market in Bridgeview compares favorably to surrounding suburbs. Read Less
