I relocated from New York to Bolingbrook, Illinois and I couldn't be happier with my decision. It is a family oriented city with quick access to Chicago's busy lifestyle. Bolingbrook is only 24 miles from Chicago. This city is so great that it was listed in the Top 100 places to ...Read More
live in Money Magazine 2008 and 2010. I love that their is so much to do with my kids.
For an interesting and educational trip, heading to the Aviation Museum should be first on the list. They have restored and replicated aircraft on display, and also offer some free programs for people to participate in. If you are interested in great food and shopping I highly recommend The Promenade Bolingbrook outside mall. They have bars and restaurants and a delicious little place called Mrs. Fields Cookies.
Bolingbrook has Splashdown Water Park nearby and a quick trip to Chicago gives everyone plenty to do and tons to see. There are also many historical sites near Bolingbrook, like Wrigley's Field and the Lockport Pioneer Settlement. Bolingbrook Park is a great place to go for recreational activities and they also have a fitness and spa center called Lifestyles Fitness Center and Spa.
Visitors have many opportunities to take pictures of amazing nature scenes. Farmer's Markets are available during the year so residents and visitors alike can get some local, fresh fruits and vegetables. If I were given a chance to go somewhere else and raise my children, I would choose Bolingbrook.

The only thing any good about Bolingbrook is the Golden Corral restaurant and buffet. Otherwise, avoid this place at all costs! In no other place on the continent of North America (and that means the USA, Canada, and Mexico) are people more aggressive, snobby, standoffish, and ...Read More
even downright hostile towards new people than in Bolingbrook, Illinois. In fact, not too long ago, several customers at the Golden Corral were arrested for "sitting too close" to a tablefull of other customers when they got up and called the police to complain of being "freaked out by their presence." In a related case, a customer there was shoved by another customer at the buffet, who then began accusing the latter of being in his way. Bolingbrook is so snobby that it will leave you literally with a nasty taste in your mouth, and will leave you thinking stuff like "Who are these people?"
