center, and golf club, Lewis and Clark Riverboat and the Bismarck Civic Center. Super slide amusement park is lots of fun and has rides for children and adults to enjoy together. There are areas for having picnics, basketball and other outdoor activities.
The communities in Bismarck are very well kept and welcoming. The neighborhoods are separated into the Cathedral, Downtown Core, Downtown Fringe and Renaissance Zone. The communities give off an all around friendly feel with children and dog parks, biking and running lanes. The streets are clean and the parks are trash free with beautiful landscaping. Another great aspect of Bismarck is the restaurants that have great cuisine. I remember one of the first restaurants I ate at was the Toasted Frog. They offer all American cuisine and have inexpensive drinks. Other great restaurants are Nibbles & Brunch, Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar and Blarney Stone Pub.
The nightlife in Bismarck is great and has a little something for everyone. I remember visiting the Burnt Creek Club on 3rd street and loved the music and drink specials. On certain nights they have black jack tables and specials on their appetizers. The clubs that have great music, environment and drinks are Lucky's Bar & Lounge, Midway Tavern, Bismarck Moose Lodge 302 and the Mystic Booster Club. Shopping in Bismarck is good and most of it happens at the Kirkwood Mall. The food, clothing, music and toy shops are great and anything not at this mall can be found at the Gateway Mall.

When the sun goes down in Bismarck, you will find many things to fill your night time. There is night fishing at Lake Oahe, gambling at the Prairie Knights Casino, visitors will find that they have no shortage of options to pass the night away, whether it's playing blackjack at the Prairie Knights Casino, the Dakota Heritage Center, and many night clubs and restaurants.
If you are considering moving to Bismarck the housing market is great. You can get lots of new construction for about the same price as you would end up renting for. This is especially great for first time home buyers. It's very family friendly and there's lot's to do. Bismarck is a great place to live!
