Avon Lake: On The Doorstep of Lake Erie User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) I've been living in Avon Lake for a year now and very much like it so far. It's close enough to Cleveland that there are a lot of job opportunities available and you can commute to work too if you'd like. The best area in Avon Lake is definitely Lake Erie. It's a lot of fun, espe ...Read More cially in the summer. You'll be able to find a lot of fun events while the weather is nice.

You will need your own vehicle to get around though since there isn't any public transportation in Avon Lake. The variety of stores and restaurants leaves a lot to be desired too. Avon Lake itself has enough to cover the basics, but for any specialized shopping or upscale restaurants, you will likely have to drive to a neighboring town to find what you'd like. If you don't mind a city that is a little more on the quiet side, you will probably enjoy Avon Lake. Read Less
