Vist, But You Best Not Stay Long 0.5 rating By Jerry2017 ( Feb 16, 2017) Amenities? very few. There is hardly anywhere to shop, most folks have to drive to St. Joseph to shop. Downtown is a pit, mostly specialty shops. Atchison is isolated, no public transportation in or out of town. If you need to rent a car you have to go to St. Joseph except there ...Read More is no way to get there. Very few decent jobs here, no future for your kids. Buying a house, if you ever need to sell you'll probably have to sell at a loss assuming you can even find a buyer. Living in Atchison is like being in a Stephen King movie. Read Less
