Altoona, Iowa Is A Great Place To Live 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) During my time living in Altoona, Iowa, I must say that this has been one of the most pleasant places that I've lived. Not only is this a very safe location to live and raise a family, the education system here is definitely top notch. Due to the stability here, many people are now becoming interested in seeing what Altoona has to offer. Some folks are even spending vacation time here to see what Altoona is all about. One of the main attractions is the Prairie Meadows Casino where you can find the Racetrack and Hotel as well.

Continuing the experience, you can follow 8th Street or 1st Avenue and you can find everything that you need to succeed here. Most of the time when the family wants to go out for a night of fun, this is where we start our journey! Read Less
