Post Pandemic,First crime rate seems to drop fast. Mall is being replaced by Meyers across from Walmart. Parks EVERYWHERE. Quiet town,Schools are lovely. Houses are always unique. Some are cheap($10-30k)others expensive($40-250k). Poverty rate is still too high. Alliance has stea ...Read More
dy decline in population, Soon may eventually drop below 20k in next 5-10 years. Every resident can agree that if you want real fun stuff to do is outside of town. Lack of theatres. Few underground railroad museums,One fun time theme park. Employment for job with pay over 17$ is mostly outside of town. Industry is mix here, but good high pay jobs are non-existent unless you like restaurant management. As current resident who just graduated, most growing adults have a passion to leave.
3 out of 5 stars, Town slowly fading away, Good pay jobs in other parts of state.

ing town. Unfortunately, the city has been in a slow decline with crime steadily increasing and police presence seeming to be missing. The public school system is decent, but is also in decline due to high student to teacher ratio which causes students to get less attention.
The city has decent shopping with a mall and a few other common urban stores. The dining scene leaves something to be desired with most restaurants in the area being franchises. Nightlife is okay, but virtually nonexistent. Most locals agree that there simply isn't much to do in Alliance.
Overall, Alliance may be a good option if you're looking to save money. But unless you're from here, you're not likely to want to make it your permanent home. You'd be better off saving some more money and heading to one of Ohio's other, more economically sound cities.
