Leeds, AL: Don't Even Bother 2 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I lived in Leeds, Alabama for six years until I just couldn't take it anymore. Before I moved there, someone told me it was one of the best areas in Alabama to live in. What a lie! If anything, it was one of the worst. Crime of every kind going on everywhere, people who walk arou ...Read More nd looking like zombies in a daze, not knowing or caring what's going on in their community. Schools that don't care about teaching the students anything. No jobs, no homes to be found, just an air of depression and sadness over the entire place. I just couldn't take it anymore and I had to move away. I don't know how some of the people have lived there all of their lives.

The only thing that can possibly be said for Leeds is that it is very close to Birmingham, which means there are some interesting things to do and see. I enjoy the Birmingham Historical Tours and Ghost Walk, the Porsche Sport Driving School racing experience, Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and of course the Birmingham Zoo. Other than those things, there's nothing to recommend this place. Read Less
