Oregon City is the southern baby sister of West Linn and Lake Oswego, located North West across the Willamette river from her. This historically rich community brands its self as "The end of the Oregon Trail" In the thirty foot tall Wagon Train Museum just outside a bustling main street, guests can learn more for themselves. If you ask any of the locals what you should see before you leave, they will point you towards "the only vertical sidewalk west of the Mississippi River" Otherwise known as a stand alone elevator unattached to a building, and thus, a vertical sidewalk. This out look allows a 270 degree view of the lower, river front old town (which has been renovated to look antique and makes for a beautiful architectural stroll, feel free to explore the old court house). Other Attractions Include: The John McLaughlin House Museum (along with a collection of other museums up town), Spring and Summer farmers markets, an active artistic collective which performs in the towns parks regularly during the summer months, and more waiting for those individuals curious of mind and heart.
