There are a lot a excellent teachers at Nimitz. However, the administration does not support the teachers and are only concerned about passing ratios and graduation rates. Teachers are constantly harassed when they attempt to discipline students because the administration wants the number of student referrals and ISS/SRC placement to decrease. Since the problems with students are not addressed, they only get worse. Teachers are also pressured to pass nonperforming students. Teachers who ask for support from the administration to handle difficult students are accused of being "ineffective" and are pressured to resign. Teacher turn over is high.
