The opportunities SPU provides to engage with peers, teachers, and other resources are amazing. Living in such close community (especially in the dorms) has fostered my educational experience because I have learned from so many other peoples worldviews. SPU does not have the most inclusive or diverse staff and administration and they exclude the LGBTQ+ community. This is the biggest downfall. There are lots of resources that SPU provides which makes it so great, even though there are institutional issues.

I really think it is a great school. It is really conservative. They really respect people of all types. They really are a neat organization..

After attending a large community college, transferring to SPU was a welcome change of pace. The professors there seem to genuinely care about their students, and they are willing to meet with students outside of their office hours to help them learn. The faculty make you feel invested in as a person, and professors are not afraid to challenge you to be your best. It is a great school to learn at.

The structure of Seattle Pacific University creates a setting in which anyone can pursue their current educational interests and at the same time find new hobbies that they enjoy; while maintaining beliefs about Christianity that they had grown up with. I am a transfer student at SPU after failing to find success and happiness at a university I had previously attended. After selecting a school with a strong emphasis on my degree and at the same time having a faith-based environment, I know SPU will set me up for success upon graduating. As I continue to live in god's grace I understand that my faith continues to change but SPU makes it easy to self reflect and grow as an individual. Even after I graduate from this school, everything around me will change but two things will stay constant and that is the ability to impact those around me with my education and religion.
