where to live in RoanokeWe are looking into Roanoke as a possible place to retire, based on various things that we've read about the "most affordable places to retire in the US." I plan on visiting soon just to get a feel for the layout of the area - but just wondering what peoples opinions are about the best parts of Roanoke to live. We wouldn't want to be right in the City and prefer a little space. Also, the fact that crime is very high (which wasn't mentioned in any of the "most affordable places to retire... articles) is very concerning. Are there just certain areas that are really bad and should be avoided?
