South Rowan High has poor facilities, faculty who does not care for their students and has a lack of amenities. The only beneficial thing South Rowan has to offer students is the computers provided by the county. The administration, in 2017, used students to gain recognition amongst other schools, especially those who are a minority. Sports where considered to be top priority over any clubs or academics. However, football trumped over any other sport even though the team lost game after game. There are few teachers who prepare the students for college with enough homework, or work pertaining to the subject they are supposed to be teaching. I did not feel prepared when I entered college. The history department is extremely biased in their political beliefs and were vocal about the 2016 presidential election, which is highly inappropriate for a high school setting. There are some AP classes offered at the school, which can be helpful for those wanting to opt out of taking some general education classes at the university level. Overall, I would not send my child to this school if I had a choice and this is coming from a previous South Rowan Valedictorian.
