The city is located in Jefferson County along the Rock River, near Lake Koshkonong. Fort Atkinson is close to Hartland Wisconsin. The town has adequate public and private schools. Fort Atkinson is standard e ...Read More mployment, cost of living, and housing markets. I love that the town is very safe for children. There are no issues during the day or twilight hours. Everyone is respectful and very cordial. The weather can be hit or miss, but overall it is fair for the location.

Some of the best areas in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin surround the Main Street and Merchants Avenue districts. This is the historical community. Here, you will find the David W. and Jane Curtis House, the Jones Dairy Farm, the Fort Atkinson Water Tower, and the Hoard’s Dairyman Farm to name a few. The town is friendly and has a sense of old world charm. It is a great place for old and young people alike. It is definitely a place to settle down and raise a family. Read Less
