Burnsville is only a 20 minute drive from some of Minnesota's most famous sites like the Mall of America, ValleyFair Amusement Park, and the downtown areas of both St. Paul and Minneapolis. Rental residents will soon be able to enjoy Burnsville's newest community project entitled, Heart of the City. The megaplex is a downtown development project with neighborhoods aimed at furthering pedestrian-friendly streets and encouraging and enabling residents to use clean energy while providing plenty of space for local businesses. The focal point of the massive project is Nicollet Commons, a park featuring a stream running through it. Though several phases of the project have already been completed, some work still remains on the development.
Besides a new and improved downtown area, Burnsville hosts an impressive, performing arts center in the downtown area where a wide variety of talent is performed on a regular basis. Burnsville has an impressive 1,800 acres of natural habit that has been preserved within the city. The land is riddled with hiking trails and nature stops.
Though the city has a bus service that runs throughout the city as well as to popular destinations within the twin cities, most apartment residents get around in their own vehicles, this is especially true for those living in downtown apartments, who plan on commuting to the twin cities for work.
With all of its new developments and features, Burnsville's downtown area is a top spot to live in the city. It has brand new apartment buildings that are environment friendly and is right in the heart of the city happenings.
