Broadway High School is not very diverse. However, this motivates students to go out and form their own communities with people of their own ethnicity. The county is increasing the involvement from Hispanics and has even created a Block Party that highlights opportunities for minorities. Various AP classes are offered and many of the teachers receive high scores from their students. The school accepts many new teachers that benefits the teachers in gaining experience but does not benefit the students as they are not able to gain an adequate education from new teachers that are unsure at the beginning of the year and may not know how to properly handle a classroom. The counseling department is very helpful especially with the career coach. Resources are available everywhere to accomplish any tasks a student desires. Sports are supported by many of the students and many come to Pink Out; an event to raise funds for people with cancer. There are many clubs to get students to participate and opportunities for community involvement at BHS.
