The park offers many events such as horse back riding, biking, trails and hiking, and you can sight see the birds in the park. There are also guided walks through out the park. Dogs are allowed in the park as long as they are on a 6 foot leash. They offer picnic areas such as the Scotsman Picnic area and The South Spring Canyon Picnic area. The trail is 12.6 miles of treacherous uphill climbing. Hikers will experience an elevation gain of 7,500 feet on the trail. For the less adventurous traveler, there is a toll road that takes visitors to the top of the mountain. Whichever way a visitor makes it to the Pikes Peak, they are sure to have an enjoyable time.
