As Indiana's second-largest city, Fort Wayne has many fine qualities that make it an ideal place to live, play, work, and enjoy life. Named the "#1 City for Minor League Sports," there is an outstanding sports scene with the best places in Fort Wayne being (1) the 150,000-square-foot Spiece Fieldhouse, home of the Gym Rats Basketball, which is one of the most technologically advanced basketball-only facilities in the United States; (2) Parkview Field, home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps baseball team, the Midwest League affiliate of the San Diego Padres, where tickets starting at just $5.00 truly make the games affordable; and (3) the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, home of the Fort Wayne Komets hockey team which competes in the ECHL of the NHL as the affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.

Fort Wayne has three rivers, the St. Marys, the Maumee, and the St. Joseph. You can rent canoes, single or double kayaks, paddleboards, and airboats. You can also enjoy a river cruise on a replica of a 1840s canal or take a 90-minute tour in a “duck boat,” which is an amphibious vehicle.

Fort Wayne is home to 86 parks and over 90 miles of trails, with the most prominent being the Rivergreenway, which stretches for 25 miles between Fort Wayne and New Haven. This trail is for jogging, walking, rollerblading, biking, and more. You can also rent a bicycle or a Segway. Stop and take a look at the benches that local artists decorated.
