The Sixth Floor Museum / Texas School Book Depository in the heart of downtown Dallas is a must-see attraction for any Dallas vacation. The Sixth Floor Museum highlights the public life of President John F. Kennedy and his family on his journey from his election, through his inauguration and daily life as the commander in chief, and finally his death on that fateful day in Dallas. The Sixth Floor Museum contains many artifacts, clothing articles, newspaper and other media clips, and other carefully preserved items concerning the President and his family, giving visitors a glimpse into this turbulent time in history. An audio guide allows visitors to proceed through the exhibit at their own pace. Admission to The Sixth Floor Museum / Texas Book Depository range in price. Adult admission is $16, youth ages 6-18 are $13, and children 5 and under are free ($4 if they wish to have their own audio device). Senior adult admission ages 65+ is $14.
