Dallas is a metropolitan city located in the north of Texas. According to the US Census Bureau it is the 4th most populous city in the United States at just under two million residents. Dallas is the largest city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The city is considered the commercial hub of the DFWM.

Considered to be the cultural hub of the area you will find many art galleries. Dallas also has more restaurants than New York City, serving up cuisine from all over the planet. The department store Neiman Marcus was born here and there are plenty of shopping districts to choose from. Located in the heart of downtown you will also find the country’s largest farmer's market.

The main business in Dallas centers around banking, commerce, transportation and medical research. 18 of the top Fortune 500 companies are based out of Dallas. The city's economy is the 10th largest in the world and they are 4th in the nation for job availability. With over 3 million job openings available finding employment should not be difficult.

Dallas enjoys a sub-tropical climate and celebrates all four seasons. The coldest month of the year is January with the hottest being August. Typically the city does not see much snow in winter but does experience freezing rain and ice. The summer months tend to be hot and dry with occasional rain showers.

The city is divided into three distinct districts; central, east and south. Central comprises Downtown, Oak Lawn and Uptown.
