Different than I expected. 1.5 rating By Meadowlark ( Mar 20, 2015) I have lived the majority of my life in the South and the people are always very talkative and friendly. However this is not the case in Nederland. I really don't get that Southern Vibe. The cities are all close together you don't know when your leaving one and in another, so I d ...Read More on't understand all the Snobbery around here. They have about any store you need, so no problem there. Hillcrest is a good school for this area but not like the 10 rated school we just left. They don't have Art or Recess and the staff especially the Office Staff just really needs to learn how to be pleasant and have some manners. The Beach is Dirty and the refineries Stink! Read Less
