Yeah it is safe, but that's it. 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 08, 2023) TLDR; A nice safe place with little to do.

You might say something else, but I've lived around this area my entire life. Murrieta is a highly safe place don't get me wrong, but is there anything else that can interest a teen around here? Not really. The mall in Temecula can get
...Read More boring relatively fast. Everything fun is at least a forty-five-minute drive away from here. We do get some decent shops but they come rarely, unfortunately. It might be a good place to live as a toddler or maybe an elderly person when you don't go out much but if you like going out and having fun a lot, this place is not for you. Read Less
Air quality is horrible! 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 19, 2020) I moved to Murrieta 6 years ago because it was more affordable to live here than in San Diego County. The one great thing is that there are plenty of shops close by for everything you would need. The downside is the air quality I had a headache for the first three months I lived ...Read More here before I got acclimated to the smog. I have just learned to keep my Windows shut. The smog does make for some beautiful sunsets though! Read Less
Murrieta, CA - A Great Bedroom Community for Families! 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 24, 2011) I have lived and raised my family in Murrieta California for the last 20 years. The city has grown from less than 10,000 people to over 100,000 over the course of my time here and it has become a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Because of the proximity to both Los Ang ...Read More eles and San Diego, many business-men raise their families here and commute into the city. Because of this, there are tons of young families who live in Murrieta, which makes it ideal to raise your kids. There are three full high schools with thousands of kids in each. It makes for a healthy rivalry that makes friday night football special.

If there was a negative to Murrieta it is how sheltered it is. Sometimes my kids have complained about their "not being anything to do here". However, they have enjoyed being able to drive into LA for concerts and the beach and Disneyland are less than an hour away.

There really isn't anything noteworthy to visit in Murrieta itself, but if you are looking for a great place to live in Southern California, Murrieta would definitely fit the bill. Great shopping opportunities and families will love its peaceful atmosphere. The crime rate is low and the houses are all new and beautiful. It is the typical California suburbia that everyone sees when they watch California on television. Read Less

      Murrieta, CA

Riverside County is where you will find the City of Murrieta. With a fast-growing population that is now over 110,000, the city is an attractive option for those who are looking to buy or rent a home in the county. In fact, Murrieta was recognized as the fastest growing city in the entire state for the 2000 - 2010 period. People are catching on quickly to the high quality of life that the city offers thanks to new homes, new infrastructure, and a cooperative spirit.

Since the city's incorporation in 1991, it has enjoyed a strong jobs market that is bolstered by a number of employers who provide great pay and benefits to their employees. The public school system is consistently recognized as one of the best places to work in the city thanks to the great work-life balance that teachers and school support staff enjoy. The Mulligan Family Fun Center may be the most exciting place to work in town. It is also a good place for teenagers to earn income before they head off to college or leave home for other opportunities.

Murrieta Hot Springs, Greer Ranch, and Antelope Hills are all great choices for anyone who is looking to buy or rent a home in the area. In general, home prices tend to be cheaper in Murrieta than in nearby Temecula, although that has been changing in recent years as the city's popularity has continued to sky rocket. Riverside Transit Authority provides several daily bus routes that provide a public transit option for those who like to utilize these services. Getting around by bike or foot may also be a possibility depending on where you choose to live in the city.

Callaway Vineyard and Winery is one of the top attractions in the area. They offer tours of the vineyards that let you see the delicious grapes that you will try later during a tasting. Miramonte Winery is a competing winery that offers many of the same services and delicious wine. Once you have got your feel of the drink of the gods, you can head over to Lake Skinner Park to enjoy this scenic recreation area. Getting out on the water is a great way to spend an evening with family and friends.

Murrieta offers a lifestyle that is a welcome change of pace from the daily grind. Its residents are warm and welcoming to those who are moving into the area. Life is good in Murrieta with plenty of wine to share with all.
