Small Town Country Feel 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Lockhart, TX has a lot to offer to anyone looking to relax out here in the Texas countryside. Living in Lockhart puts you about 35 mins away from Austin, which is perfect if you want to go into the city and enjoy the many events that happen there. However, if you’re looking for ...Read More more small-town experiences, then you’re in for a treat.

There is something happening almost every weekend, whether it’s a farmer’s market or a festival in town. Not only is there always something to do, the community is incredibly friendly out here as well. If you enjoy a small but welcoming community, then Lockhart is the place for you.

Unfortunately, my only complaint is that we don’t have enough shops in town to suit my tastes. I must drive a bit towards Austin if I’m looking for large chain stores, but it’s a small sacrifice I’m willing to pay to live out here. Hopefully in the future they start building more places for us to shop on the weekends when we’re free with the whole family. Read Less
