Dumas, TX Is A People Place! 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) After living in Dumas, Texas for over a decade I can honestly say that I have never met friendlier, more caring people anywhere, and that is the main thing that makes this a great place to live. Dumas is one of the best areas in Texas to call home. The weather is absolutely beaut ...Read More iful almost all of the time. Our schools are great, our crime rate is low, and people take pride in their neighborhoods and homes and keep everything in tip-top condition. The job market is stable enough for everyone to be able to work.

If you want to find something to do for fun and entertainment Dumas has plenty to offer. Window on the Plains Museum is a fantastic place for everyone in the family. the Bug Ranch is great (and not what you think!). The kids really enjoy the classes at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We have the Lone Star Dance Academy, Sweet Escape escape room experiences and games, and hands-down the best place to get steak anywhere, the 287 Roadhouse.
